Fun Fact: The first music related things I did were actually some "high quality video games rips" for the SiIvagunner channel.

I started making my own music in 2021 though, mostly to score my own projects.

It's kind of all over the place, but anywhere between moody atmospheric tracks or "battle music" for lack of a better term. I listen to a lot of prog metal (Voivod, Dream Theater) so really anything goes.

Here are some I'm fond of: (I'd like to not just embed youtube videos eventually)

Music I Like

I wasn't thinking of this when making it but I own all of these albums on CD too (and a whole lot more). Definitely big on physical media:

Concerts

For my own sake I keep track of upcoming concerts I'm going to, but it also means I've got a record of all the concerts I've seen (more or less). Western Canada does seem to get the short end of the stick sometimes but it's hard to complain looking at the list.

In my mind the more "Live" a concert really is the more I tend to enjoy it, imperfections and all. Love it when bands mess with tempo or play with expectations by holding a note/beat slightly longer than the studio versions. Not to mention extended improv-y bits. That's certainly biased towards some kinds of music though I'll admit.

Either way there's something undeniably "human" about a live performance which is quite appealing, these days especially.

With that in mind, these were some of my favourites!
